SB Finance offers salary loans as low as PhP 3,000 with 0% interest

SB Finance is offering eSALAD Lite, a startup-ready credit solution that gives Filipino employees quicker and more affordable access to short-term funds, with loan amounts starting at PhP3,000 and 0% interest.

A variant of the company’s existing eSALAD product, eSALAD Lite is designed specifically for Security Bank payroll account holders, including newly onboarded employees who have received at least one payroll salary credit. This makes the facility especially relevant for employees who may not yet qualify for regular salary loan products. The product is designed to address short-term cash flow gaps in a way that is practical and easier to manage for employees who are just starting to build their financial footing.

Instead of charging interest, the facility applies a flat fee per availment, with repayment automatically deducted from the employee’s next payroll credit. Availment is done through SMS, allowing employees to access funds without going through a cumbersome application process. Each availment also comes with credit life insurance coverage, giving employees added protection and peace of mind.

Under the program structure, eligible employees may borrow from PhP 3,000 up to PhP 10,000, with a one-month term covering two payroll cycles. Only one active availment is allowed at a time, although borrowers may re-avail after full repayment, subject to eligibility and an active payroll account.

“We want to make short-term borrowing more accessible, especially for employees who are still early in their financial journey,” said Jasmin Gaa, Head of Corporate Employee Loan at SB Finance. “Through eSALAD Lite, we are offering a simple and affordable way to access funds when needed, while also helping employees begin building their credit profile for future borrowing.”

eSALAD Lite can also serve as an entry-level credit solution, allowing borrowers to establish repayment behavior and potentially qualify for higher credit limits under the regular eSALAD program once they meet the required eligibility criteria. Learn more about eSALAD lite here!

With this facility, SB Finance aims to address the growing need for smaller, faster, and more practical borrowing tools that can help employees manage day-to-day financial gaps without locking them into high-interest or long-term debt.
